3. VISA INFORMATION: For spring 1999, US citizens did not need a Visa to enter Greece for the program--as long as they were staying less than three months. A Visa was necessary for Turkey. This could be obtained at the point of entry; the cost was 45 US Dollars, payable in CASH only. Visas could also be obtained by application from the Turkish embassy or consulates, prior to departure.

8. EXCHANGE RATES
For a fairly current report on the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Greek Drachma, try this link. We have not found a clear and current listing for the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Turkish lira, but this currency converter will enable you to derive the rate easily.
