The Brown Technology Resource Center, which opened in 2004, provides software support and training for faculty, staff, and students at Lake Forest College. Located in the room 208 of the Donnelley and Lee Library, the TRC
has seven pcs and four macs available for training sessions or individual use. The TRC houses a variety of scanners, including feed, film and slide scanners, along with color and poster printers. The center also contains video conversion equipment to transfer taped video to digital format on pc or Mac platforms. All equipment is available on a walk-in basis, but to guarantee access to one of the video stations and staff support, there is a sign-up sheet.

Housing software for use across disciplines and divisions, the TRC provides text, image, audio, and video editing software as well as web
design development. In addition to printed instructions, TRC Lab
Technicians are on hand to assist with software and equipment training and use. The TRC
has supported numerous course projects across the disciplines at
Lake Forest College.
Students, Faculty, and Staff can take
advantage of our full array of services free of charge, although
nominal fees apply for printing and other consumable supplies.
