Fractured Court, Monumental Decision:
Earl Warren's Unifying Role in Brown

Headline of the Topeka State Journal (KS) announcing the Supreme Court's decision in Brown
v. Board of Education.  Topeka had an especially vested interest in the ruling as the case's primary
plaintiff, Linda Brown, hailed from the Midwestern town.  The ruling would resonate throughout the country.
