Inducted 2006   Anne Bennett grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and graduated from Madison East High School, where she lettered in golf, basketball, and track. She helped lead the basketball team to the state championship game and was named to the all-tournament team.
Bennett enrolled at Lake Forest in the fall of 1989 and excelled in multiple sports during her four years at the College. She helped lead the basketball team to its first Midwest Athletic Conference for Women championship in 1992 and the Foresters were 72-20 overall and undefeated at home during her career. She earned All-MACW and American Sports Federation All-American honors each of her final three seasons and captained the Forester squad as a senior. Bennett led the nation in free throw percentage in 1990-91 and, at the time of her induction, she still held the single-season school record for three-point field goal percentage. Her 1,126 career points ranked third in team history and her totals for assists, steals, field goals, and free throw percentage were each among the top five. The Forester soccer team captured its first conference title her freshman season. Bennett was named all-conference as a junior and captained the squad as a senior. She earned Academic All-Conference honors in both basketball and soccer and also lettered for the softball team in 1991 and 1992. Bennett was a Senior 25 honoree, earned the Nicholas J. Wasylik Senior Athletic Award and was an NCAA Woman of the Year Award recipient. She graduated Cum Laude in 1993 with a major in Economics and went on to teach the subject after a career in the health care industry in finance and sales. She lists marrying her husband Charles Rhodus and being a mother to daughters Kendall and Brooke as her greatest lifetime achievements.
