Archie Jones '53
Growing up in Lake Forest, Archie attended Highland Park High School before transferring to Lake Forest High School.

He entered Lake Forest in 1949 and participated in baseball for four years, earning three varsity letters.  Most Valuable Player his senior year, he was also a member of the 1953 CCI Championship team, as well as several intramural champion teams.  Along with serving as president of the Independent Men's Club, Archie, an economics major, was also a member of the Lettermen's Club.

Graduating in 1953, he went to play for the Baltimore Orioles organization from 1953 to 1956 and became an Army Reserve officer.  He then coached the Lake Forest City Recreation Team and lead them to the Illinois Amateur Championship in 1959.  From 1962 to 1969 he served as president of GEGCO Manufacturers Corporation and eventually became the senior financial analyst for Travenol Laboratories.  He continued to play on the Old Timers Baseball Team and coached Pony League baseball.
