Inducted 1989 Growing up in Aurora, Ohio, Bruce attended University School in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He participated in wrestling, football, golf and track, as well as drama and band. Entering Lake Forest in 1965, he earned four letters in wrestling, one in tennis and participated in football. Most Valuable Player three out of his four years, he had the longest dual match win streak at 50 consecutive victories, the best single season record of 23-0 and the best overall four-year record of 81-6. A nationally recognized wrestler, he was also vice president of Digamma Alpha Upsilon and was in the student honor society. Graduating with a degree in government, he founded Conferon Inc. in 1971 in Twinsberg, Ohio, which is the nation's leading meeting-planning company. President of the company, he is also the Cleveland Area Meeting planner, Director of Harris Publishing and a member of Meeting Planning International. He volunteers his time to coach youth wrestling, soccer and baseball.
