Chris McBride Larson'87
Growing up in Arlington Height, Illinois, Chris attended Prospect High School.  A four year participant in both basketball and volleyball, she was selected MVP in basketball and received the Prospect H.S. Women's Athletic Sportsmanship Award.  Her activities were not limited to athletics as she also participated in Student Council, Speech Team, Foreign Exchange Club and was the student director of the annual Variety Show.

At Lake Forest College, Chris competed in volleyball for four years and basketball for three.  As a freshman, she averaged 13.8 points per game and 12,6 rebounds per game.  She earned national recognition as she received first team Midwest all-region honors, was named to the all America Freshman Team and was the Division III Freshmen Player of the Year.  In her sophomore season, Chris was again first team Midwest all-region and was third team All-America.  A member of all0conferece team her senior season, she held the Forester women's basketball all-time rebounding record until 1995.  In just three varsity seasons, Chris scored 790 points and pulled down 663 boards.  She was also a captain of the volleyball team her senior year and selected All-Conference.

Following graduation in 1987, Chris stayed involved in athletics coaching basketball and soccer while teaching kindergarten.  An active member of her community, she served as the Paradise Playground Coordinator, where she fund raised for and designed a $100,000 playground for a park in Bowling green, KY.  Chris also has served as a Girls Scout and Boy Scout leader, Junior Achievement volunteer and a Soccer Board Division Coordinator.
