Inducted 1998 After graduating from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1960, Charlie coached at Albany Academy (NY) and Summerside High School *Prince Edward Island). His first collegiate coaching job was at Mt. Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, where he serves as the head coach for both the soccer and hockey teams. Upon his arrival at Lake Forest College in 1973, Morrison took only five seasons to gain national recognition. The team improved their record in each season he coached and in the 1977-78 season, the team captured their league championship and qualified for the NCAA Division II-III National Championship Tournament. After winning the Western Region, the Foresters advanced to the championship game of the tournament by defeating Elmira 4-1 in the semi-final. A defeat at the hands of Merrimack College in the championship ended their dream season with a 23-5 record. Following his coaching career at Lake Forest, Charlie moved on to coach hockey at Union College in Schenectady, New York. Morrison was again successful in rebuilding a team "back for the ashes" as his teams advanced to the ECAC play-offs four times, capturing one conference championship, as well as three trips to the final four of the NCAA tournament. In addition to his collegiate coaching accomplishments, Charlie was a volunteer coach of the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association fro 1977-1987.
