Freshman Ryann Freeman (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) was top finisher on the Forester women’s team. She placed 43rd overall with a career-best 5-kilometer time of 21:43. Sophomore Grace Schlafly (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) was next on the team in 47th place with a time of 21:53 and freshman Brecklind Golovich-Keie (East Jordan, Mich./Charlevoix) was just one spot and two seconds back. Junior Sarah Marrinan (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Cathedral) finished 64th in 22:51 and sophomore Charice Wilcynski (Long Grove, Ill./Lake Forest Academy) rounded out the team’s top five in 96th place with a career-best time of 25:06. Freshman Kahiye Hassan (Portland, Maine/Waynflete School) became the fifth male runner in team history to earn All-MWC honors by placing 12th in the 8-kilometer race with a time of 26:48. It was the fifth-fastest time in team history. Sophomore John Thies (Los Angeles, Calif./Saint Francis) was next on the team in 32nd place and he matched his season-best time of 27:58. Junior Levi Paul (Austin, Minn./Governor Dummer) placed 54th with a career-best time of 28:58 and classmate Andrew Hutchinson (Redwood City, Calif./Sequoia) finished just five places and four seconds later. Freshman Evan Piermont (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) was fifth on the team and 76th in the race with a time of 30:17. The top seven runners on each Forester squad will compete in the NCAA Regional Meet on Saturday, November 10. The meet will be hosted by UW-Oshkosh at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wisconsin, and will begin at 11:00 a.m. LF Results: Women |
