Lake Forest College Cross Country News & Notes    September 9, 1999       Contact:  Scott Rucker, SID   ZEMAITIS FIRST FORESTER TO WIN A MEET; NAMED FIRST AOW      Cross country runner Joe Zemaitis (Scottsdale, AZ) has been named the first Forester Athlete of the Week of the 1999-2000 athletic season. The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects the award winner. Last Saturday Zemaitis won the Benedictine Invitational in Lisle, IL and become the first Lake Forest runner in known school history to win a cross country meet. He covered the 3.25-mile course in 17:41 and was also named the Lake Forest Cross Country Runner of the Week by Head Coach Mike Wajerski.
