David Dohman '78
Growing up in Chicago, Illinois, Dave  attended St. Francis DeSales High School. He learned to play handball at an early age at the Rainbow Beach outdoor court facility on the south side of Chicago.

Transferring from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dave entered Lake Forest College in 1975.  His intercollegiate handball accomplishments include a "B" Singles championship in 1977 and the following year won the Doubles championship with partner Gary Stedman, which contributed significantly to Lake Forest winning the team championship.  Captain and Most Valuable Player his senior year, he also earned All America honors as a member of the 1978 intercollegiate champion team.

Graduating in 1978 with a degree in history, Dave continued to play and excel at the national level.  In 1981 and '82 he gained a national ranking of 6th in Open singles amateur competition and in 1986 was ranked 14th in the Spalding/Gatorade professional tour.  His National Championship accolades are as follows:

1977 - USHA Three Wall doubles champion
1978 - USHA Three Wall doubles champion
1988 - USHA Three Wall doubles champion
1989 - USHA Three Wall doubles champion
1990 - USHA Three Wall doubles champion
1991 - USHA Three Wall doubles champion
1992 - USHA Three Wall doubles champion
1995 - USHA Three Wall Senior singles champion
1995 - USHA Three Wall Senior doubles champion
1996 - USHA Three Wall Senior doubles champion

For many years Dave served on the Illinois Handball Association Board and in 1992 was elected president.
