Donald Hause '23
Growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Don attended Ann Arbor High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1917 until 1919 before entering college. 

He entered Lake Forest in 1919 and earned four letters in track, three in baseball and three in football.  Captain of the track team all four years, he was also captain of the baseball team his junior year.  He was on the All America track team in 1920.  Class president for three years, he served as editor of the Stentor, was a member of Student Council, Kappa Sigma and was elected to Iron Key. 

Graduating with a degree in physics, Don started a career in advertising.  In 1925 he married Ruth Bachman '24.  He worked for Lord Thomas and Logan Advertising Agency, Sprague Warner & Company, L.W. Ramsey Advertising Agency and retired with Armour & Company as an advertising manager.  He served as chairman of the Merchandising - Advertising Committee and the Association of National Advertisers and was coordinator of American Heritage, which is the foundation for Advertising council.  As well as serving in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve from 1942 to 1945, Don belonged to the Collegiate Club and sat on the Board of Directors for the Chicago YMCA.
