Edward Cochran '75
Growing up in Chicago, Ed attended Christian Fenger High School.  He entered Lake Forest in 1971 and earned four letters in basketball.  Most Valuable Player his junior and senior years, he was also a two-year captain.  Averaging 16.9 points a game, he led the team in scoring and posted a 36 point, 23 rebound game.  For his accomplishments, Ed was nominated for Small All-America honors.

Equally impressive off the court, he was the first person to graduate from Lake Forest with a triple major in sociology/anthropology, area studies, and psychology.  A member of the Student Appeals Board, he was also in Black Ensemble, African Students for African Liberation, and was on the Dean's List.

Following his graduation in 1975, Ed went on to receive his Master's degree from DePaul University and entered the business world. He served in managerial positions with several corporations, including IBM, All State Insurance and Sears Roebuck.  While also serving as a faculty member at DePaul and Mundelein College, Ed served as Director of Network Operation at First Data Resources.
