Eric G. Nyberg '51
Growing up in Chicago, Illinois, Eric attended Nicholas Senn High School and was a member of the baseball, basketball, football and golf teams.  A leader in numerous organizations, he was also president of his graduating class.

After 18 months of service in the Marines, he entered Lake Forest College in 1948.  While at Lake Forest, Eric earned four varsity letters in football and one in basketball.  He was selected Most Valuable Player, All-Conference and Little All-America in football.

He was also active in a number of extracurricular activities, including Phi Pi Epsilon, the Lettermen's Club, and the Forester.  President of the senior class, Eric was recognized by being chosen for the Iron Key Society and by being selected for Who's Who in American Colleges.

Graduating with a degree in business administration, Eric pursued his graduate degree at Northern Illinois University and the University of Wisconsin.  He became general sales manager for Kentes Glass Company and eventually moved to New Jersey.  He continued his involvement with Lake Forest College, and in 1967 Eric was appointed to the Alumni Board of Directors and eventually became an officer on the board.
