Francis "Moe" Berg '40
Growing up in Berwyn, Illinois, Moe attended St. Patrick's Academy in Chicago where he earned two letters in football.

He entered Lake Forest in 1936 and earned three varsity letters in football and two in baseball.  Honorable Mention All-Conference his junior year, he was Most Valuable Player of the football team his final season.  He was also a member of Digamma Alpha Upsilon and the L.F. Club.  Along with serving as president of the Athletic Board of Control, Moe wrote for the Stentor.

Graduating with a degree in history, Moe went on to play football with the Kenosha Cardinals.  He then attended the Pensacola Naval Air Station and graduated to become a Naval Aviator, serving four years in World War II.  After the war Moe went to the University of Illinois College of Law and after graduating he became a partner at Leviton and Berg.  In 1960 he opened his own practice and was the sole owner until his retirement in 1993.  He also served 12 years as Justice of the Peace in Riverside.
