Seth Wallace Promoted to Foresters’ Top Assistant Coach Position
Offensive coordinator returns for third season on staff

The 2004 Foresters set a school record for total offense under coordinator Seth Wallace.

LAKE FOREST, IL – Lake Forest College assistant football coach Seth Wallace accepted the program’s top assistant coaching position Tuesday (February 1) and will return to the staff for a third season in 2005. Wallace was the team’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2004 and the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach the previous year.

Wallace’s promotion follows that of defensive coordinator Brent Becker to head coach last week. Becker replaced Chad Eisele, who directed the program for five seasons and recently accepted the head coaching position at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Lake Forest set school records for passing and total offense in 2004 and posted the third-highest scoring average in the program’s history. “Coach Wallace deserves a lot of credit for what we accomplished on offense last season,” comments Becker. “His experience is well beyond his years and I have every confidence that the offense will continue to thrive under his direction.”

“I’m excited to have a greater role on staff, especially during games,” Wallace stated. “I’ve learned a lot in four years of coaching college football and am both willing and prepared to accept a greater responsibility for what we do on offense.”

The Foresters are 15-5 in his two years on staff and his combined record as an assistant coach at Lake Forest and his alma mater Coe College is now 31-11.
