LFC promotes assistant to head coaching job in
football
Chad Eisele, defensive coordinator for Lake Forest College's football
team for the past three seasons, has been selected to head the Foresters'
program.
He replaces Randy Moore, who resigned to take a job as an assistant
coach at Hope College in Michigan.
Moore compiled a 13-34 record in five years as head coach, but his team
went 5-5 in 1999, which was the best showing by the school since 1986.
"I'm excited to name Chad our new head coach," said LFC athletic director
Jackie Slaats. "He's been an integral part of our athletic department and
football program for the past three years. He's a proven winner, and we
feel he has the vision and leadership skills to continue the upward, successful
trend of Forester football."
Eisele will be in a rebuilding mode as 15 of the LFC starters last fall
were seniors.
In addition to coaching football, Eisele is also head coach of the men's
tennis team. Last fall, he guided the Foresters to their first Midwest
Conference title since 1978. During each of his three seasons as tennis
coach, the team has either tied or broken the school record for wins in
a season.
Eisele is a graduate of Knox College. He was defensive coordinator at
Wayne State University in Detroit before coming to LFC. |
