Drew Holman named MWC Defensive Player of the Week.
LAKE FOREST, IL -  Junior Drew Holman (Morris, IL/ Morris) was named Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Forester's win conference championship clinching win over  St. Norbert College on Saturday, November 9th.  The victory was only Lake Forest's second ever over St. Norbert College (the other coming in 1986).  With the victory, Lake Forest secured its first conference championship since 1983 and the school's first-ever berth into the NCAA playoffs.

Holman afternoon consisted of four tackles and two interceptions in a dominating performance by the Forester defense.  The shutout marked the first time in 59 games St. Norbert has failed to score a point.  The first of his two interceptions came less that a minute into the fourth quarter with St. Norbert threatening deep in LFC territory.  On the ninth play of a 55 yard drive, Holman stepped in front of the pass on the 9 yard line of Lake Forest and returned it 12 yards to squelch St. Norbert's deepest drive of the day.  Just moments later, Holman ended St. Norbert's second last drive of the game and clinched the victory with his second interception of the afternoon, this time picking off the pass at the Lake Forest 23 yard line and returning it 14 yards.

The two interceptions on Saturday raised Holman's total to team-high, and new school record, seven.  He also leads the team with seven pass break-ups and is fourth on the team with 56 tackles, four of them for loss.

The Midwest Conference Players of the Week are selected by the conference's Sports Information Directors.
