LAKE FOREST, IL -  Lake Forest College football player Drew Holman (Morris, IL/ Morris) was named to D3football.com's National Team of the Week Tuesday (November 12) for his contributions to the Foresters' 17-0 shutout at St. Norbert College on Saturday (November 9). The victory earned Lake Forest a share of the 2002 Midwest Conference Championship and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The junior safety picked off two passes, both in the fourth quarter in Lake Forest territory, and recorded four solo tackles. The pair of interceptions gives Holman a school-record seven for the season. The previous record of six had been shared by three players and had not been matched since 1991.

The Foresters held the Green Knights, who had been averaging 47 points per game, to just 215 total yards, including only 20 on the ground. The team recorded three interceptions in the game to set a new school record with 23 for the season.

Holman was also named Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the day.
