November 14, 2002 Contact: Mike Wajerski, SID Drew Holman earns Forester Athlete of the Week honors
Holman recorded four tackles and two interceptions in a dominating performance by the Forester defense, which handed the Green Knights their first shutout in 59 games. Holman's first interception came less that a minute into the fourth quarter with St. Norbert threatening. On the ninth play of a 55 yard drive, Holman stepped in front of the pass on the LFC 9 yard line and returned it 12 yards to squelch St. Norbert's deepest drive of the day. Ending St. Norbert's second last drive of the game, Holman clinched the victory with his second interception of the afternoon. This time he picked off the pass at the Lake Forest 23 yard line and returned it 14 yards. For the season, Holman has recorded a team-high seven interceptions and is fourth on the team with 56 tackles, four for loss. He also has broken up seven passes to lead the team. The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department
on Thursdays.
