LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College football players Don Lackey (Lindenhurst, IL/Antioch) and Omar Pickering (Mount Vernon, NY/Port Chester) were selected as two of the Midwest Conference's Performers of the Week Tuesday (November 18) for their accomplishments in the Foresters' 30-27 victory at Ripon College on Saturday (November 15).

Lackey, the MWC Offensive Performer of the Week, completed 18 of 30 passes in the game for 288 yards and three touchdowns. His 77-yard strike on the team's first play from scrimmage in the second half moved him into first place in school history in career passing yards. He finished his three-year Lake Forest career with 5,556 passing yards, 124 more than Avelino Cortez '87. Lackey also holds the school record for passing attempts in a career with exactly 1,000 and ranks second with 477 completions and 37 touchdown passes.

Pickering earned MWC Defensive Performer of the Week honors for recording a game-high 18 tackles, including four solos and one behind the line of scrimmage. He also partially blocked a punt to help set up the team's second scoring drive of the game. Pickering finished the season with a team-high 102 tackles despite playing in just nine of the Foresters' 10 games.
