Lake Forest Ranked 25th in the Nation in Latest Coaches Poll
Foresters in NCAA Playoffs for first time ever
  

Head Coach Chad Eisele's Foresters are in the NCAA Playoffs for the first time ever.
LAKE FOREST, IL -  The American Football Coaches Association released its weekly top 25 rankings Tuesday (November 19), and Lake Forest made the list. The 9-1 Foresters are listed 25th this week with 85 points. Listed just ahead of Lake Forest are Washington & Jefferson College (24th - 110 points) and Muhlenberg College (23rd - 135 points). Mount Union College is ranked #1 for the 29th consecutive poll, dating back to October of 2000.

On Saturday, November 9, Lake Forest shut out St. Norbert College 17-0 to capture a share of the Midwest Conference Championship and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. St. Norbert had been 9-0 and ranked #11 in the country. The Foresters raised their record to 9-1, establishing a new school record for victories in a season.

Lake Forest's defense is ranked 26th in the nation, allowing 253.8 yards per game. It also ranks sixth against the run (67.6 ypg.), 27th against the pass (89.2 pass efficiency rating), and tied-for-16th in scoring (13.0 ppg.).

This Saturday (November 23), the Foresters will play at Wartburg College at 12:00 noon in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Playoffs. The winner will play at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon on Saturday, November 30.
