Jeff Ziemnik Earns Second Forester Athlete of the Week Award of the Year
Junior had 281 total yards and three touchdowns on Saturday

Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College football player Jeff Ziemnik (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (November 2) for his performance in Lake Forest’s 19-12 victory at Knox College the previous Saturday (October 28).

Ziemnik, a junior quarterback, passed for 251 yards and a touchdown in the game. He also rushed for 30 yards and two more scores and kicked an extra point. His 1-yard touchdown run with 1:51 remaining broke a 12-12 tie and proved to be the winning points.

It was also Ziemnik’s third straight game without an interception. He has completed nearly 60 percent of his passes during that span for 544 yards and six touchdowns.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Ziemnik also earned the award on September 28.
