Casey Urlacher Named MWC Defensive Player of the Week
Junior linebacker tallied 20 tackles and an interception in win over Knox

Casey Urlacher had 20 tackles and a 56-yard interception return in Saturday's victory.
LAKE FOREST, IL -  Lake Forest College junior linebacker Casey Urlacher (Lake Bluff, IL/Lovington-NM) was named the Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's (November 3rd) 30-6 victory over Knox College

Urlacher led the Foresters with 20 tackles (7 solo) in the game. He also leads the Midwest Conference in tackles with 84, despite missing nearly all of one game with an eye injury.

In addition to his impressive number of tackles against Knox, he also picked off a pass early in the second quarter and returned it 56 yards to the Knox 22 yard line. Seven play later, Lake Forest scored a touchdown to make the score 14-6.

His contribution to the team's win did not end on defense. He was the lead blocker on two touchdown runs and he returned three kick-offs a total of 51 yards. Urlacher is currently ranked third in the MWC in kick-off return average.
