LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College football player Pat Dunne (Palos Heights, IL/Marist) was named Midwest Conference Player of the Week Tuesday (November 5) for his contributions to the Foresters' 27-6 victory over Lawrence University on Saturday (November 2).

Dunne kicked a 26-yard field goal in the second quarter and a school-record 50-yarder in the fourth. The senior co-captain's previous career-long had been 44 yards (twice) and he had never attempted a kick of over 47 yards. Tom Higgins had the school's previous long of 47 yards, set in 1980.

Dunne, who is also the team's punter, did an admirable job in that category Saturday as well. His seven punts averages 36.0 yards and included a 47-yarder, a 50-yarder, and a 23-yarder that went out of bounds at the Lawrence nine.

Dunne, who is currently third in the nation in made field goals, is easily the most prolific kicker in school history, holding team records for extra points and field goals in a game, season, and career. His 58 points scored this year is the most on the team and the highest total ever for a Forester kicker. He also holds various school records for punting.

It marked the second time this season and fifth in his career that he earned conference player of the week honors. He also took home the award following the team's 24-23 victory over Beloit on September 21 and once during each of his first three seasons.

Midwest Conference Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors.
