Senior picked off a pair of passes in win over Knox

Keith Hanson has five interceptions so far this season.
LAKE FOREST, IL – Lake Forest College football player Keith Hanson (Fairfax, VA/Vermont Academy) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (October 13) after helping to lead the Foresters to a 28-14 victory at home over Knox College on Homecoming last Saturday (October 8).

Hanson, a senior cornerback, intercepted a pair of passes to help seal the victory and leads the team with five this season, two shy of the school record. He was credited with 45 return yards on the two picks despite having a touchdown and 13 yards erased on a holding penalty during one of the returns. He also recorded five tackles in the contest, including one behind the line of scrimmage. In addition, Hanson blocked a field goal attempt in the second quarter.

The Midwest Conference tabbed Hanson as the league’s Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday (October 10) and Don Hanson’s Football Gazette selected him as one of its four National Players of the Week on Tuesday (October 11).

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by members of the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
