Lake Forest Pounds Lawrence 41-6
Jason Arendsee Scores Three Touchdowns and Rushes For 129 Yards

APPLETON, WI - Lake Forest College jumped out to a 38-0 lead after three quarters and coasted to a 41-6 win over Lawrence University on Saturday (October 14th) at the Banta Bowl in Appleton, WI. 

Lake Forest (3-3, 3-2) evened their overall record and jumped above the .500 mark in the Midwest Conference. The Foresters have rebounded from all three of their losses with decisive wins. In fact, Lake Forest has outscored their opponents 105-40 after losses.

Lawrence (0-6, 0-5) remained winless on the season.

The Foresters used 388 yards of rushing and 464 total yards of offense to overpower the Vikings on Saturday. Lake Forest had two players go over the 100 yards rushing mark. Jason Arendsee (Baraboo, WI/Baraboo) ran for a game-high 129 yards on just 13 carries (9.9 yards/carry). He scored three touchdowns (two rushing and one receiving). Freshman Tom Starnicky (Oak Lawn, IL/Marist) rushed 23 times for 123 yards and a touchdown. Five others rushed for at least 20 yards on the day.

Lake Forest's defense was equally as impressive, holding the Viking scoreless through the first 47 minutes of the game. Lawrence punted nine times, threw two interceptions, and only had the ball for just over 20 minutes. 

Arendsee scored a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter, from 32 and 11 yards, to give Lake Forest an early cushion. 

Starnicky found the endzone at the 10:02 mark in the second quarter, before Arendsee scored again with 1:25 left in the half. Arendsee's third score came from a Brad Cozzie (Chicago, IL/Mount Carmel) pass and gave the Foresters a 28-0 halftime lead. 

Lake Forest scored twice within a two minute span in the third quarter to stretch their lead to 38-0. Pat Dunne (Chicago, IL/Marist) connected on a 25-yard field in 2:19 remaining in the third and Andy Heikes (Palos Hills, IL/Stagg) scored on a one-yard TD run two minutes later. 

R.J. Rosenthal found J. Hacquebord for a 26-yard touchdown pass-and-catch with just under 13 minutes remaining in the game to put LU on the board. Rosenthal finished 14-of-29 passing for 196 yards with the one touchdown and one interception.

Dunne scored the game's final points when he nailed his second field of the afternoon - a 42-yarder with just under five minutes to play. 

Dunne also made all five of his extra point attempts to finish with 11 points for the day. Additionally, he punted twice for an average of 42.0 yards with zero LU return yards. 

For Lawrence, Zach Michael had six catches for 116 yards. Defensively, Ryan Zutter led the way with 14 tackles (seven solo, seven assists). 

Casey Urlacher (Lake Bluff, IL/Lovington (NM)) led the Foresters with seven tackles. 

Lake Forest will be at home this Saturday (October 21st) when they host Illinois College at 1:30.
