LAKE FOREST'S DUNNE NAMED MWC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Pat Dunne, a sophomore kicker/punter at Lake Forest
College, has been selected as the Midwest Conference's Football Special
Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Foresters' 56-32 win
over visiting Lawrence University on Saturday (Oct. 16). Dunne, a native
of Chicago, IL (Marist High School), punted six times for 259 yards (43.2
yards/punt), including a long of 62 yards. His boots limited Lawrence to
-5 punt return yards on the afternoon and he pinned Lawrence inside the
20-yard line twice. After his six punts, Lawrence started on its own 26,
21, 20, 7, 26, and 18-yard line. He also connected on all eight of his
extra point attempts and has now made 17 straight PAT attempts. Lake Forest
Head Coach Randy Moore said, "This was Pat's
best game of his Lake Forest career. I felt that field position was the
key to the game and Pat had a major role in pinning them deep time after
time."
