Matt Mahaney Named MWC Offensive Performer of the Week
Sophomore QB helps Foresters in crucial conference win

Mahaney is on pace to challenge a number of school records.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College sophomore quarterback Matt Mahaney (West Chicago, IL/Addison Driscoll) was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Tuesday (October 19) for his effort against Illinois College on Saturday (October 16). The game was a fight between two 4-1 teams in conference in which the Foresters came out victorious, 26-14.

Mahaney completed 16 of 23 passes for 257 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions giving him a passing efficiency of 177.77. During the game Mahaney connected with six different receivers, including three receptions for more than 40 yards.

In seven games Mahaney has completed 127 of 244 pass attempts giving him a completion percentage of 52% and an overall passing efficiency of 124.08. He has racked up 11 touchdowns to six interceptions on 1,803 yards, already making him fourth in school history in single-season passing yards and on pace to easily break the record of 2,103.
