Keith Hanson Named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week
Senior intercepted a pair of passes in Saturday’s shutout of Beloit

Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College football player Keith Hanson (Fairfax, Va./Vermont Academy) was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday (October 2) for his performance in Lake Forest’s 23-0 defeat of Beloit College the previous Saturday (September 30).

Hanson, a senior cornerback, helped preserve the Foresters’ shutout on Homecoming with a pair of second-half interceptions. The first came at the Lake Forest 17-yard line near the end of the third quarter. He returned the second 44 yards from the Forester 10 with a minute-and-a-half to play in the game.

Hanson leads the team with three interceptions this season. He has now picked off nine passes in the last 14 games and has 11 in his career.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
