Mike Carter Named MWC Special Teams Performer of the Week
Senior tied a school record with three field goals on Saturday

 Mike Carter scored 11 of the team's 23 points on Saturday.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College football player Mike Carter (Arlington Heights, IL/St. Viator) was named Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week on Tuesday (October 26) after leading the Foresters to a 23-19 victory at Carroll College on Saturday (October 23).

The senior wide receiver/kicker tied a school record with three made field goals in the contest, each at crucial times in a close game. His first was from 33 yards and cut the Pioneer lead to 7-3 late in the first quarter. His 19-yarder with 58 seconds to play in the first half gave the Foresters a 13-10 lead before the home team tied the score just before intermission. Finally, his 25-yard effort midway through the third period made the score 19-16.

Carter also made both of his extra point attempts and added a 41-yard punt that went out of bounds inside the Carroll 20-yard line. He also caught two passes for 14 yards.

On the season, Carter has connected on five of eight field goal attempts and ranks second on the team with 44 points. He is also tied for third on the squad with 18 receptions for 321 yards.
