Jeff Ziemnik Named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week
Junior ran for two touchdowns and passed for another in victory at Knox

Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College football player Jeff Ziemnik (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday (October 30) for his performance in Lake Forest’s 19-12 come-from-behind victory at Knox College the previous Saturday (October 28).

Ziemnik, a junior, had a hand in all three of the Foresters’ touchdowns in the game. After falling behind 12-0 in the second quarter, the visitors scored on a 9-yard run and a 30-yard pass by Ziemnik on consecutive possessions to tie the score. Ziemnik’s 1-yard touchdown run on fourth down with 1:51 remaining in the contest proved to be the game winner. He also kicked in the final extra point.

Ziemnik has completed 140 of his 233 passes (60.1%) this season for 1,729 yards. He has thrown 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions and owns a 133.96 quarterback efficiency rating. In addition, he is the Foresters’ leading rusher with 366 yards and three touchdowns.
