Dan Carter Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore also earned league and national weekly honors

Dan Carter
LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College football player Dan Carter (Arlington Heights, Ill./St. Viator) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (October 4) for his performance in the team’s 44-36 victory at Beloit College the previous Saturday (September 29).

Carter, a sophomore wide receiver, tied a school record with three touchdown catches in the game. His first was from 42 yards out in the second quarter and he added scores of 27 and 21 yards in the third period. Carter also finished the day with career-highs in both receptions (nine) and yards (164).

It was just the seventh time in team history that a player caught three touchdowns in a single game and he is the sixth player to accomplish the feat.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Carter was also named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week and was selected to D3football.com’s National Team of the Week.
