LAKE FOREST, IL -  Lake Forest College junior kicker Pat Dunne (Palos Heights, IL/Marist) was named the Midwest Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's (October 6th) game against Ripon College.

On fourth-and-six from the Ripon 26, head coach Chad Eisele didn't hesitate to send Dunne in to attempt to make the longest field goal of his career. The kick sailed through the uprights with plenty of distance to spare and the Foresters had cut the lead to 13. Two drives later, Dunne nearly tied the school record when his 47-yard attempt split the uprights a few feet below the crossbar. He also made both of his extra point attempts.

Dunne punted three times for an average of 41.7 yards and Ripon's average field position following his five kick-offs was its own 26 yard line.

The Midwest Conference Players of the Week are chosen by the league's sports information directors.
