LAKE FOREST, IL -  Lake Forest College senior football player Casey Urlacher (Lovington, NM/Lovington) was named Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday (September 17) for his individual accomplishments during the Foresters' 26-15 victory over visiting Grinnell College on Saturday (September 14).

Urlacher tallied a game-high 15 tackles, including eight solos, and forced a pair of fumbles. The middle linebacker also saw some time on the offensive side of the ball. His 12-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-one on the Foresters' opening drive was his third score of the season in as many carries. He gained 17 yards on three rushing attempts in the game.

Lake Forest's victory over Grinnell was its first since 1993 and the team is 2-0 for the first time in three years. A victory Saturday (September 21) night (6:00 p.m.) at Beloit College would give the Foresters their first 3-0 start since 1984.

Midwest Conference Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors.
