Anthony Gebhart Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns at Beloit

Anthony Gebhart led the Forester offense on Saturday.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College football player Anthony Gebhart (Addison, IL/Addison Driscoll) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (September 23) after leading the team to a 26-15 victory at Beloit College on Saturday (September 18).

Gebhart ran the ball 22 times for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the game. His 78-yard scamper in the opening period was the first score of the contest and his 16-yard touchdown run with 6:26 remaining in the fourth was the last. He also caught a pass for three yards and returned two kickoffs for 41.

After three games, Gebhart leads the Foresters with 339 yards rushing, a 6.4 yards-per-carry average, and three touchdowns. It is his first season as the team’s tailback after playing defensive back last year.

Members of the College’s Athletic Department select the Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursdays.
