Lake Forest Falls at St. Norbert College
Homecoming game against Beloit coming up

DE PERE, Wis. - The Forester football team was defeated 62-0 at St. Norbert College on Saturday (September 27). Lake Forest is now 1-3 overall this season and 1-2 in Midwest Conference play. The Green Knights raised their overall record to 3-1 and league mark to 3-0.

St. Norbert turned the ball over on downs on its first drive but scored on its other two first quarter possessions and led 13-0 after the first period.

The Green Knights scored touchdowns on a pair of passing plays, a run, and a punt return and added a field goal and a safety in the second quarter and led 46-0 at halftime.

St. Norbert reached the end zone on its first drive of the second half, recorded another safety later in the third quarter, and returned an interception for a touchdown in the fourth to close out the scoring.

Forester freshman defensive back Luke Butts (Warrensburg, Ill./Warrensburg) led the visitors with a dozen tackles in the game, including eight solos. Juniors Jaron Eanes (Cleveland, Ohio/Lake Forest Academy) and Chad Zimborski (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) were next with seven stops apiece and classmate Donovan Baldridge (St. Louis, Mo./Chaminade) recovered a St. Norbert fumble.

Lake Forest will host Beloit College for its Homecoming game next Saturday afternoon (October 4). Kickoff will be at 1:30 and a live video webcast of the game will be available at www.midwestconference.tv.
