Jeff Ziemnik Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior did a little of everything on Saturday

Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College football player Jeff Ziemnik (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (September 28) for his performance in Lake Forest’s 14-7 loss at St. Norbert College the previous Saturday (September 23).

Ziemnik, a junior quarterback, completed 12 of 22 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown in the team’s hard-fought defeat. He went without an interception for the second straight week. Ziemnik was also the squad’s leading rusher with 50 yards and had 19 more erased by sacks. In addition, he punted six times for a 38.8 yard average and kicked the extra point after passing for the touchdown.

Ziemnik owns a 126.63 passing efficiency rating and leads the team with 205 yards rushing this year.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
