Inducted 1977 Growing up in Dubuque, Iowa, Glenn attended Dubuque Senior High School. He earned letters in baseball, football and track. He entered Lake Forest in 1957 and earned nine varsity letters, four each in baseball and football and one in basketball. As quarterback and halfback, his passing and hard running were instrumental in Forester victories. Captain of the team his junior year, he was also the total offense leader and was selected All Conference his final season. Most Valuable Player of the baseball team his junior year, he was voted captain his senior year and led his team with a .345 batting average and 19 RBIs. A member of Phi Delta Theta, he was the fraternity's historian and a member of the Lettermen's Club. Graduating with a degree in business administration, Glenn entered the U.S. Army. After three years, he left the service and went to work for Deere & Company, eventually becoming a supervisor. He continues his interest in athletics by playing golf, racquetball and hunting.
