Lake Forest College Handball News & Notes December 5, 1999 Contact:  Scott Rucker, SID BARGMAN CLAIMS CONTENDERS TITLE      Mike Bargman won the Open Division at the 1999 Contenders Tournament on Saturday (Nov. 6). Bargman won the event by defeating Shane Conneely, 21-16, 11-21, 11-6, in the finals and Adam Szatkowski, 17-21, 21-4, 11-2, in the semifinals. Bargman had earlier knocked off two Lake Forest teammates to reach the semifinals. He defeated Bon Miyaska in his first match and then Keith Vassall, both matches lasted two games.       In the Consolation bracket, alum Greg Hammond came out victorious, by defeating Brian Johnson in the championship match. The Consolation bracket was set up in a round robin format, with a playoff between the two division champions. Johnson had to win a playoff match with teammates Nick Brown and Jeff Werstein in his division to reach the finals.
