Megan Mehilos Finishes Second at I.H.A. Women's Classic
Amy Sove takes fourth place
  

Megan Mehilos played in the finals for the 2nd straight year.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The field of 16 players at the Illinois Handball Association Women's Classic included seven Lake Forest College players and six of the school's alumni. 

A Forester and one of those alumni ended up playing for the championship as sophomore Megan Mehilos (Addison, IL) took on Allison Roberts ('91), who is also an assistant professor in Lake Forest College's economics department. Roberts took the match and the title from the defending tournament champion (21-8, 21-8). Roberts also defeated Forester junior Amy Sove (Modesto, CA) in the semifinals. Sove finished in 4th place.

Senior Leslie Boyle (Chicago Heights, IL) won a pair of matches to place 6th in the tournament. After dropping her first round match, junior Megan Gibson (Brown Deer, WI) rattled off three straight wins to finish 9th. Sophomore Sarah Roberts (Plainfield, IL) won her second round match and placed 12th. The final pair of Foresters, twin sisters Michelle and Danielle White (Nova Scotia, Canada), played each other for 13th place, with Danielle taking the match.

Lake Forest handball will have more than a month off before playing in the Winter Blast in Bannockburn, Illinois on January 18-19th.
