INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Forester handball team traveled to Indianapolis this week (February 1-3rd) to compete in the Circle City Tournament. The event had both men's and women's brackets.

Senior Bill Mehilos (Addison, IL) won the Men's Open singles championship for the second straight year. In the finals, he needed a tiebreaker set to edge out teammate David Munson (Williston, VT), a sophomore. After Mehilos took the first set, 21-10, Munson returned the favor in the second, 21-6. Mehilos came back to win the tiebreaker, 11-8, to keep the title.

In the Men's A singles bracket, Forester freshman Ference Dominguez (Elmhurst, NY) came out on top for his best showing of the year.

On the women's side, sophomore Megan Mehilos (Addison, IL) was knocked off in the Open semifinals while freshman Danielle White (Nova Scotia, Canada) advanced to the finals of the A singles, where she was finally defeated.

The men will be off next weekend while Lake Forest will host the Illinois Handball Association State Doubles Tournament on Friday and Saturday (February 8-9th). The men will have their turn the following weekend (February 14-17th) at the Bloomingdale Men's Doubles Tournament.
