Bill Mehilos Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Wins both Open singles and doubles over the weekend

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College junior men's handball player Bill Mehilos (Addison, IL) has been named the Forester Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Circle City Open in Indianapolis, IN over the weekend (February 2-4).

In the Open singles tournament, he upset the number one seed, Casey Mayo of Cincinnati, OH, in the finals, 21-10, 21-11. Immediately following his singles championship, Mehilos took the court with partner Mike Munson (Williston, VT) for the Open doubles championship match. After dropping the first game, 21-6, to Mike Panko and Brian Neveau, the Forester pair squeeked out a 21-19 game two victory and then cruised, 11-2, in the tie-breaker.  

The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects the Forester Athlete of the Week each Thursday.
