Bill Mehilos Advances to Finals of Sweet Sixteen
Senior finishes second for second straight tourney

Bill Mehilos was the runner-
up for the 2nd straight event.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College hosted the 2002 Sweet Sixteen Handball Tournament on Friday and Saturday (January 25-26th), and nearly had the individual champion as well.

Senior Bill Mehilos (Addison, IL), fresh off a second-place finish at the Milwaukee Classic last month, was the runner-up again this weekend after falling to Michael Finnegan in the Championship Match. Mehilos, after winning his opening round match, knocked off Forester alumni Chris Roberts ('83) and Shane Conneely ('97) to advance to the finals.

Sophomore David Munson (Williston, VT) advanced to the round of eight but was defeated there by the Finnegan.

After falling in the first round, freshman Alex Martinez (Andover, CT) advanced to the semifinals of the 'A' Division bracket before being eliminated.

The Foresters will travel to Indianapolis next weekend (February 1-3rd) for the Circle City Tournament, where Mehilos is the defending champion.
