Megan Mehilos led the Forester women to the USHA championship with the seventh and eighth titles of her career.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College handball player Megan Mehilos (Addison, IL) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday after her record-setting performance at the United States Handball Association Intercollegiate Championships over the weekend (February 26-29).

Mehilos became the first player (male or female) in the 52-year history of the event to sweep the singles and doubles titles in all four years of her eligibility. It was the fourth consecutive year in which the eight-time All-American led the Forester women to the team championship.

In the singles competition, Mehilos outscored her first four opponents 168-16 before downing the University of Arizona's Courtney Peixoto 21-20, 21-13 in the championship. She and fellow senior Samantha England won each of their three doubles matches in just two games, claiming the title with a 21-4, 21-12 victory.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
