EVANS NAMED MVP, WELLENBACH SELECTED MIP FOR MEN'S HOCKEY

David Evans, a freshman forward from Calgary, Alberta, and Ben Wellenbach, a sophomore forward from Acton, MA, have been named the Lake Forest College Men's Hockey Most Valuable and Most Improved Players, respectively, for the 1999-2000 season.

The awards were presented at Sunday's (April 30th) Winter/Spring Lake Forest College Athletic Banquet.  

Evans led the Foresters with 17 assists and was second on the team with 28 points (11 G, 17 A). He also added 3 power play goals (second on the team) and 2 game-winning goals (tied for first on the squad).

Wellenbach appeared in all 26 games for Lake Forest and scored 12 points with his 6 goals and 6 assists.

Lake Forest finished the 1999-2000 season with a 15-11-0 overall record, the team's best record since the 1990-91 season.
