Lake Forest College Men's Hockey
Coaching Staff
Assistant Coach Chris Gallagher '01

Coach Gallagher is in his ninth season (1999-present) on the Forester hockey staff after playing on the team for two years. This year will be Gallagher's eighth season with the varsity team after serving as the assistant junior varsity coach in 1999-2000. He is specifically responsible for the defensemen and penalty-kills, two categories in which the Foresters have excelled during his tenure. Lake Forest has been listed as high as seventh in the nation in scoring defense (2003-04) and as high as sixth in penalty killing (2002-03). Both units have ranked among the top five teams in the league four of the last five seasons. Gallagher also helps coordinate the staff's recruiting efforts.

Gallagher also directs the Foresters' junior varsity program and helps coordinate the staff's recruiting efforts.

He graduated from Lake Forest in the spring of 2001. Prior to attending the College, Gallagher played for St. Michaels in the OPJHL.

At Lake Forest he spent both his junior and senior years as a student-assistant with the team. His love for the game of hockey and his dedication to the Forester program has enabled him to take on a more vital role with the team each year he has been involved.
