Mike Kneeland has put his name in the Forester record books.
LAKE FOREST, IL – Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Mike Kneeland (Calgary, AB/Calgary Royals) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (December 1) for his contributions to a pair of Lake Forest victories in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play the previous weekend (November 25-26).

Kneeland, a freshman forward, recorded a pair of assists, including one on the eventual game winning goal, in the team’s 6-3 win at UW-Eau Claire Friday night.

Lake Forest led 4-0 after the first period of Saturday night’s 8-3 triumph at UW-Stevens Point and Kneeland, with a goal and three assists, took part in each of the scores. He later added another goal and assist to become just the third player in team history with six points in a game. His four assists also tied a school record shared by three other players.

Kneeland now leads the 2005-06 Foresters with 17 points and 11 assists. His six goals on the year are also tied for the highest total on the team.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by members of the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
