UW-Eau Claire Knocks Off Lake Forest, 3-2, on Saturday
Blugolds outscore Foresters 2-0 in the third period

EAU CLAIRE, WI - UW-Eau Claire used two unanswered third period goals to claim a 3-2 victory over visiting Lake Forest College on Saturday (December 2nd).

Lake Forest (5-3-2, 2-3-0 NCHA) had their four-game non-losing streak (2-0-2) snapped, while UW-Eau Claire (6-4-0, 2-4-0 NCHA) avenged a November 10th 4-1 loss to the Foresters.

Brad Thomas (Arlington Heights, IL) scored the first goal of his Lake Forest career to give the Foresters a 1-0 lead at the 6:45 mark of the opening period.

Adam Srlader tied the score with just over six minutes to play in the first period. 

Matt Bruni (Unionville, Ontario) got the lead back for Lake Forest with his sixth goal of the season with 1:17 to play in the second period. 

Eau Claire would score at the 4:33 mark of the third period to tie the score at two goals apiece. Srlader scored his second goal of the game just over a minute later to give the Blugolds the 3-2 lead, which would prove to be the final margin. 

Mason Black (Smith Falls, Ontario) had 28 saves for Lake Forest, while Jon Walker notched 24 saves for Eau Claire. 

The Foresters will return to the ice on Friday (December 8th) when they travel to St. Thomas College.
