Tyler Steen Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior earned Peter Taylor Award, had two three-point games

Tyler Steen had three points in both games last weekend.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Tyler Steen (Calgary, AB/Calgary Royals) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (February 10) for his contributions to a pair of Forester victories at home last weekend (February 4-5).

Steen recorded an assist and scored what turned out to be the game winning goal in the opening period of Friday night’s 6-3 victory over UW-Stout. At the first intermission, he was honored as the 2005 recipient of the program’s Peter Taylor Award. He added an assist in the second period for his first three-point game of the season.

The following evening, in a 3-2 upset of UW-River Falls, the nation’s eighth-ranked team, Steen assisted on all three Forester goals. His second three-point game of the weekend was also the fifth of his career.

Steen ranks third on the team with a dozen assists and 20 points. He is also tied for third on the squad with eight goals, two of which have been game winners. He has 60 points in his career on 24 goals and 36 assists.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
